whether it's better to have a happy life or a good support of tragic plots.

Good afternoon 2

When I was excited about life, I didn’t want to write at all. And when I was happy, I had no wish to write.
I have never written about being happy, never. I didn’t want to. And I don’t think you can describe being happy.

Good afternoon 1

I am quite sure I’m not a great novelist because I have only got down to paper 3 people.

The person I think I am, the people who irritate me and the people I’d like to be.

When you get to really great people, like Tolstoy, you find they can get hold of all types.
